Zero-waste cocktails for the win! We teamed up with our friends at The Ugly Company to bring you a refreshing and flavorful peach cocktail that's twice as sustainable!
The Ugly Company upcycles ugly fruit and transforms it into packaged dried fruit snacks to reduce food waste. They are delicious out of the bag and perfect for an infused cocktail syrup alongside an upcycled spirit like Wheyward Spirit.
After making a delicious syrup and refreshing cocktail, use the peach pieces once more for a sweet treat.
Upcycled Peach Syrup
¾ cup water
¾ cup sugar
2 oz The Ugly Company dried peaches
Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, occasionally stir to dissolve sugar, and simmer for about 8 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in peaches. Let cool and stir in an airtight jar in the fridge overnight. When ready to use, strain out fruit pieces and set them aside to make candied fruit. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge. Makes about 5 oz. of syrup.
